Plot
Don Juan de Marana learned from his father, Don Jose, that women offer three gifts: life, disillusionment, and death. For Don Jose, it was his wife, Donna Isobel, and Donna Elvira who delivered the latter. After studying at the University of Pisa, Don Juan settled in Rome, a city dominated by the ruthless Borgia family, including Caesar, Lucrezia, and Count Donati. Although many women pursued him, it was the unattainable one who tormented his thoughts. His disregard for Lucrezia and the duel that led to Count Donati's death would bring Borgia's wrath upon him, sealing both his and Adriana's fate in a prison along the Tigre River.
