Plot

After the loss of her father, Pollyanna Whittier moves in with her wealthy yet emotionally distant Aunt Polly. Armed with her father's uplifting 'Glad Game,' she inspires those around her to discover optimism amid hardship. Her infectious spirit transforms even the grumpiest residents of Beldingsville, including the reclusive Mrs. Snow, the gloomy Mr. Pendleton, and the mysterious Dr. Chilton. Along the way, Pollyanna plays matchmaker for her Aunt's maid, Nancy, and the handyman, Tim. However, her unwavering positivity faces a significant test when tragedy strikes, challenging her ability to maintain her joyful outlook.
