Plot
Carter Page III, a middle-aged gay man living in Washington, D.C., works as a "walker," accompanying other men’s wives to social functions to spare their husbands the trouble. One night, he escorts Lynn Lockner, the wife of a U.S. senator, who is secretly involved with a lobbyist. When Lynn discovers the lobbyist's lifeless body, she pulls Carter into a web of intrigue that reaches into the upper echelons of the federal government, forcing him to navigate a dangerous investigation filled with political machinations.
