Ned Beatty
Ned Thomas Beatty (July 6, 1937 – June 13, 2021) was a distinguished American actor renowned for his versatile performances across film and television. Over his impressive career, he garnered nominations for an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, and a Golden Globe, along with a Drama Desk Award for his stage work.
Beatty's acclaim stemmed from notable roles in a variety of projects, including the groundbreaking film Network (1976), the poignant television drama Friendly Fire (1979), and the heartfelt Last Train Home (1990). He also appeared in the 2004 adaptation of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

His portrayal of Bobby Trippe in Deliverance (1972) left a lasting impression, while his role as Delbert Reese, a Tennessee lawyer in Nashville (1975), showcased his range.
