Plot
In 17th century Italy, a group of monks manages to capture and seal away a demon that has taken possession of one of their own. Fast forward four centuries, and school teacher Elizabeth Magrino arrives at the monastery to conduct research. Unbeknownst to her and the present-day monks, the malevolent force that had been trapped in the catacombs has been inadvertently unleashed, setting the stage for a terrifying confrontation between good and evil. As darkness rises, Elizabeth must confront the ancient horror lurking beneath the monastery's surface.
