Plot

Inspired by Scott O'Dell’s classic novel, a young Native American girl named Karana faces harrowing challenges after tragedy strikes her family. Following her father's murder at the hands of a ruthless white trapper, she prepares to leave her Pacific island with her tribe. However, upon discovering her brother has been left behind, she bravely swims back to his side. Together, they endure life on the deserted island, where Karana tames a wolf for companionship. Tragically, her brother falls victim to a wild dog pack, leaving her to navigate survival alone against the wilderness.
