Plot

Set in the 1920s, a wealthy debutante, portrayed by Kim Darby, is abducted for ransom by the dysfunctional Grissom family, led by the ruthless Irene Dailey. The gang, a mix of sadists and dimwits, spirals into chaos when one member, played by Scott Wilson, develops an unexpected affection for their captive. As tensions rise, the family dynamic unravels, leading to a violent climax. Both this version and its 1949 predecessor, No Orchids For Miss Blandish, draw inspiration from James Hadley Chase's novel, although neither film adheres to its original conclusion.
