Plot

Bernard “Bang Bang” Rozyski, a retired boxer, finds new purpose in life when he reconnects with his estranged grandson and decides to take up training. As their sessions help pull Bang Bang out of his personal slump, doubts about his intentions arise from those around him. Among the skeptics is an ex-girlfriend from his past, who witnessed his rapid rise in the boxing world during the 80s and his fierce rivalry with her cousin, Darnell Washington, a candidate for mayor of Detroit. Is Bang Bang simply passing on his inherited rage, or does he genuinely want to help?
