Plot

Janek and Wanda reside in a cramped villa room, surrounded by various offices. To escape the confines of their living situation, Janek often lingers at work. Their lives take a turn when Malinowski, a former tenant of their room, offers them a newly available two-bedroom apartment. Initially skeptical, the couple agrees to the swap, only to discover that Wanda’s ex-husband, Jerzy, is already living there. Registered as a resident, he has the legal right to remain, prompting Janek to concoct a plan to evict the unwelcome guest from their new home.
