Krzysztof Kowalewski (March 20, 1937 – February 6, 2021) was a distinguished Polish actor and comedian whose work left a lasting impact on the country's entertainment landscape. He gained widespread recognition among Polish Radio audiences through his memorable performance in the radio play "I Love You, Mr. Sułek." Throughout his prolific career, Kowalewski appeared in more than 120 films and television series, earning acclaim for his roles in several cult classics directed by Stanisław Bareja. Born to a Jewish mother, actress Elżbieta Herszaft-Kowalewska, and Polish soldier Cyprian Leon Kowalewski, Kowalewski's personal life was as vibrant as his career. His first marriage was to Vivian, a Cuban national, and he later shared a long-term relationship with fellow actress Ewa Wiśniewska. In 2002, he married actress Agnieszka Suchora, with whom he had a daughter, Gabriela, while his son Wiktor was from his previous relationship.
