Into Infinity (1975)

Plot

The Altares, a spaceship equipped with a revolutionary photon drive, embarks on an ambitious mission from an Earth-orbiting space station. Aboard are two families of scientific experts, racing towards Alpha Centauri at light speed. As they navigate time dilation, the crew successfully deploys satellites to gather vital information about the Centauri star system. These satellites not only relay data back to Earth but also aid in planning future manned explorations. Originally aired as "The Day after Tomorrow" in the U.S. and "Into Infinity" in the UK, this 1975 special features performances by Brian Blessed and Nick Tate.
