Franco Alfano, renowned for completing Puccini's unfinished Turandot, also crafted several operas, including his 1936 adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac, with a libretto by Henri Cain that draws from Edmond Rostand's classic play. This poignant opera explores themes of unspoken love and loyalty amid romantic confusion.
