Plot
Ted, a laid-back poet from 1970s Venice Beach, fills his days strolling the boardwalk and sharing his verses with passersby. His world takes a turn when he encounters Linda, a stunning woman in a bikini, whom he instantly idolizes as his "Venus." Consumed by infatuation, Ted employs a mix of poetry, inappropriate phone calls, and grand romantic gestures in a misguided effort to win her over. However, his attempts only lead to comedic misfires and awkward encounters, forcing him to confront the reality of unrequited love.
