Plot
Minako, a 50-year-old milk delivery woman, navigates the hilly streets of her hometown each morning before clocking in as a supermarket cashier. Her daily routine is punctuated by an unrequited love for Keita, a long-time crush who lives nearby with his terminally ill wife, Yoko. Keita, who works in children's affairs at the local municipal office, yearns for a simple life, yet beneath his calm demeanor lies a struggle with unfulfilled dreams and inner turmoil. Through a mix of storytelling techniques, the film poignantly captures their shared experiences of loneliness and the bittersweet nature of hope.
