Plot
Dan Adams leaves his job as a district attorney to dismantle a ring of fake-accident con artists. He secures a position at an insurance firm, vowing to expose the gang or die trying. Initially, he finds little support from Carol Carter, who suspects him of being a crooked lawyer. Meanwhile, Dan confronts his brother Eddie, tangled with the criminals, and persuades him to reform. However, the gang, led by the ruthless "Duke" Trotti, murders Eddie to silence him. As Dan closes in, Carol uncovers vital evidence but becomes a target herself.
