Plot

A surprise snowstorm blankets a small town in upstate New York, triggering a delightful "snow day" for a group of elementary school kids. Led by Natalie Brandston, they hatch a plan to keep schools closed by attempting to hijack a snowplow. Meanwhile, Natalie's older brother Hal seizes the opportunity to impress Claire Bonner, the most sought-after girl at school.
