Plot

Talib Shah Hossaini, a 37-year-old Afghan filmmaker seeking asylum, finds himself in Moria, Europe's largest refugee camp, until its destruction in autumn 2020. After a year of grappling with despair, he channels his frustrations into creating "Picnic," a poignant film that delves into the harsh realities faced by countless refugees. Through his lens, Talib addresses themes of hope, the role of art in survival, and the complexities of European immigration policies. The project serves as a powerful invitation to understand the lives of those who are on the brink of becoming our neighbors.
