Plot

Bickford Waner, a seemingly innocent young man from Fort Worth, settles in the small Texas town of Dime Box, taking on various odd jobs. He quickly becomes close to Reese Ford and his wife, Molly, who seduces him. The truth about Bickford emerges when his ex-girlfriend, Janet Conforto, shows up, exposing him as the infamous train robber Kid Blue. Facing humiliation due to the affair with his friend's wife, Bickford decides to abandon his attempts at a legitimate life and hatches a new criminal scheme.
