Plot
Set in pre-World War I Paris, the lives of three characters become intricately connected. Phillipe de Ledocq, portrayed by Guy Rolfe, is a clever safecracker who consistently evades capture. Police Chief Maubert, played by Eric Portman, relentlessly pursues him, while both men are enamored with the enchanting Madeleine, portrayed by Nadia Gray. Just as Maubert finally apprehends Ledocq, the government intervenes, seeking Ledocq's skills to infiltrate the German embassy and uncover the Kaiser's hidden agents. The dynamic between these characters adds depth to this engaging tale, a precursor to the later series *It Takes a Thief*.
