Plot

In the heart of South Africa's Free State, a secluded enclave of the Afrikaans white minority thrives on traditional values of strength and masculinity. Janno, sensitive and withdrawn, feels out of place in this rigid environment. His world is upended when his devout mother brings home Pieter, a tough street orphan she hopes to redeem, urging Janno to embrace him as a brother. Tensions escalate as the two boys engage in a fierce competition for dominance, family affection, and their shared legacy, ultimately challenging the very foundations of their upbringing.
