Plot

Enemy operatives are wreaking havoc on crucial wartime deliveries. When a hobo's body is discovered in a train wreck with a $50,000 money belt and a distinctive tattoo indicating he was a hired saboteur, Brass takes on his identity to uncover his mission. Posing as Steve Coe, he infiltrates a group of enemy agents in California, but complications arise when the dead man's wife appears. Fortunately, Gabby intervenes, allowing Brass to learn that his real assignment is to sabotage the USN airship 'Mason', which is testing a top-secret Inertia Projector.
