Plot
Jack Jackson, Ridgefield College's legendary football star, feels let down by his son Junior, an awkward bookworm plagued by allergies. Determined to see Junior succeed, he leverages his status as the top alumni donor to convince the coach to accept him onto the team. To further support Junior, Jack pays for the tuition of Bill Baker, a promising athlete, with the expectation that he will mentor Junior. However, Junior’s attempts at quarterback lead to chaos, especially when both roommates find themselves romantically interested in the same co-ed, complicating their burgeoning friendship.
