Plot
A year after his daring rescue in Los Angeles, John McClane finds himself in the wrong situation once again. On a snowy Christmas Eve at Washington Dulles International Airport, he awaits his wife's arrival when a group of terrorists seizes control of air traffic operations. Their scheme involves freeing a South American general and notorious drug trafficker being transported for trial. McClane must confront the criminals, all while battling an incompetent airport police chief, a reluctant anti-terror unit, and the looming danger to his wife and countless passengers caught in the air.
