Plot
Amidst the backdrop of 1828, the financially troubled Pyncheon family is embroiled in a bitter struggle for their ancestral estate, Seven Gables. Jaffrey Pyncheon schemes to secure the mansion by orchestrating the wrongful conviction of his brother, Clifford, for murder. Meanwhile, Hepzibah, devoted to Clifford, endures two decades of heartache as she awaits his freedom. Upon his release, Clifford reunites with his former cellmate, the abolitionist Matthew, and together they plot a daring plan to reclaim their lives and confront the injustices that have plagued their family.
