Plot
Charlie Thurber, an exceptionally bright associate professor, struggles with chronic underachievement and has yet to secure tenure at Gray College. With the help of his eccentric best friend, he embarks on one last push to earn the coveted position. However, his ambitions are thrown into chaos when a talented new faculty member arrives, casting a shadow over his efforts. As Charlie grapples with his insecurities and the competitive academic landscape, he must confront his shortcomings and find a way to redefine success on his own terms.
