Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer of Notre-Dame, harbors a deep, unrequited love for the enchanting gypsy Esmeralda. His affection blossoms from his lonely perch atop the cathedral, where he watches her dance in the square below. However, Esmeralda loves Febo, the dashing captain of the King’s guards, who is already engaged to the affluent Fiordaliso. As tensions rise, the obsessive Frollo, the cathedral’s archdeacon, becomes jealous of Febo and, consumed by his own dark desires, plots to eliminate his rival. A tragic tale of love, jealousy, and societal hypocrisy unfolds.
