Plot

In 1970, Stephen Gaskin led a group of idealistic hippies from San Francisco to Tennessee, establishing the renowned commune known as the Farm. This self-sufficient community embraced non-violence, vegetarianism, and environmental respect, with members adopting a vow of poverty and living in repurposed buses while cultivating their own food. Filmmakers Rena and Nadine, who grew up in this unique setting, return for the first time since 1985, ready to confront their past. Their journey uncovers the rise and decline of this ambitious utopian experiment, revealing a family's struggle with division amid the remnants of a once-thriving communal dream.
