Plot

In "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," esteemed surgeon Tomas departs Prague for a medical procedure and encounters a young photographer, Tereza, whom he brings home. To her shock, she discovers Tomas is entangled with the free-spirited Sabina. As the Soviet invasion unfolds, the trio escapes to Switzerland. Sabina pursues new romances, while Tomas remains unfaithful, leading Tereza to feel disillusioned and return to Czechoslovakia. Realizing the gravity of his choices, Tomas embarks on a journey to win Tereza back, grappling with love and betrayal along the way.
