Derek and Meredith make an effort to keep their night together at Meredith's house under wraps, but their tired looks give them away to everyone, especially Bailey, who advises Meredith to end the romance. In another storyline, George is suspicious that an anesthesiologist might be drinking on the job but hesitates to bring it up. Meanwhile, Alex is treating a former rival who has turned to self-harm, Izzie faces a patient who is literally clinging to his girlfriend, and Cristina appears to be struggling with flu-like symptoms.
