Episode Overview

On March 26, 2006, homicide detectives arrived at the scene of a burning vehicle, discovering the remains of 22-year-old Xenia Wilson, a mother to a four-year-old girl. Detectives Rick Duggan and Randy Laboda investigated and soon arrested three suspects: Jose "J.J." Verduzco, Chito Rojas, and Ismael "Boogeyman" Moreno. Verduzco and Rojas pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Moreno. However, the trial took unexpected turns that caught both the defendant and prosecutor off guard, ultimately leading to a heartbreaking aftermath for the case.
