Michael Palin: Around the World in 80 Days (1989)

Episode Overview

While in Dubai, the team discovers a suitable dhow for their journey to Mumbai. During the voyage, Palin connects with the crew, shares a Bruce Springsteen track with one member, and unfortunately succumbs to a severe bout of diarrhea. Reflecting on his adventurous spirit, Palin recalls a weekend drive from London to the Black Sea. In subsequent interviews, he expresses a desire to reunite with the dhow's crew to personally express his gratitude for their warm hospitality.
