The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970)

Episode Overview

Jack Cassidy guest stars as Hal Baxter, a successful model who drops by to see his brother Ted at WJM-TV. The two quickly dive into an intense competition, arguing about everything from their salaries to their cars and even their romantic interests. To impress Hal, Ted falsely claims that Mary is his girlfriend. They all agree to a double date with Mary and Rhoda. At the restaurant, Ted’s lack of manners becomes evident. Later, back at Mary’s apartment, Ted and Hal engage in an arm-wrestling match. Hal then heads up to Rhoda's apartment to look through magazines for his photo, leaving Ted alone with Mary to give the impression that he spends more time with her.
