Episode Overview

In July 1945, Sam takes up residence with Adam Wainwright to assist in managing his guest house; however, their relationship remains platonic due to Sam's shy nature. Among the residents is Mandy Dean, who struggles to care for her baby, whose father is Gabe Kelly, a Black G.I. When Mandy's former boyfriend, Tommy Duggan, comes back, he is heartbroken to learn about her situation.
