Episode Overview

The Jewish people find themselves in bondage in Babylon, and Daniel is cast into the lions' den. However, his unwavering faith leads to divine protection, allowing him to survive and prompting the Jews’ return to Jerusalem. Meanwhile, the Angel Gabriel informs Mary that she will conceive a child. Joseph and Mary travel to Bethlehem for the census, where Jesus is born. They flee Herod's decree to eliminate male infants in Bethlehem. As Judea falls under Pilate's harsh governance, John baptizes Jesus, who is poised to embark on his mission and initiate a revolution.
