Title: The Inner Authority Must Be Overthrown Plot: During the 1960s, a group of revolutionary psychotherapists rose up against the dominance of Freudian concepts in the United States. They drew inspiration from Wilhelm Reich, a former disciple of Freud who had become critical of his teachings and was despised by Freud's family. Reich posited that the inner self should not be stifled or managed but rather embraced and allowed to freely express its true nature.
