Two students tied to the book have provided each other with alibis, but one of them is deceiving the authorities, and it's up to the detectives to uncover the truth. When the true culprit admits to acting in self-defence, Alesha confronts her own past traumas. Meanwhile, James must navigate the challenging role of prosecuting the suspect while also advocating for the deceased. If the real events of that day remain hidden, a killer may escape justice, or an innocent person could face wrongful conviction.
