Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

Pingu is busy building with his blocks while teaching Pinga about them, as Mother and Father whip up a cake in the kitchen. While Pingu focuses on his blocks, Pinga entertains herself with her trumpet. Pingu enjoys her music and decides to show her his own instrument, an accordion. However, his playing turns into a chaotic racket, prompting Mother to ask him to stop. Defiant, Pingu sticks out his tongue and continues, even bouncing the accordion like a yo-yo. Growing frustrated, Mother sends him outside, which makes Pinga cry since she liked his music. Meanwhile, the townsfolk lock themselves away to escape the noise. Eventually, Pingu visits his grandfather, who is skillfully playing his accordion. Curious about his technique, Pingu receives music lessons from Grandpa and quickly learns to play beautifully. He returns home to delight his family with his newfound talent.
