Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

Pingu and Pinga are enjoying a sunny day flying their kite when the breeze weakens, causing it to crash onto the igloo's roof. Pingu attempts to retrieve it by tugging on the string, but it snaps. Pinga goes inside to ask Mother or Father for assistance, but they are too busy to help. Outside, Pingu resorts to throwing snowballs to dislodge the kite. One accidentally hits Pinga as she steps back outside, prompting her to cry, but Pingu reassures her. His next throw successfully knocks the kite off the roof, but it lands in a damaged state. When Pingu seeks help again, Mother and Father are still occupied. Determined, Pingu and Pinga take a sled to Grandfather, who helps them construct a new kite. Meanwhile, Mother and Father notice the time and venture outside to find their children, checking with the post-office clerk, fishmonger, and a neighbor, but no one has seen them.
