Episode Overview
Pingu sets out to find a birthday gift for Grandfather and stumbles upon a shop that sells shells. He discovers a charming spiky shell and places it in an oval box that fits perfectly. As he leaves the shop, he spots Pinga heading to Grandfather's with a box nearly her size. Feeling a bit envious of her larger box, Pingu returns to the store, rejecting the first two larger boxes before requesting a very big one. Meanwhile, Pinga arrives at Grandfather's and presents him with a lovely picture, which he proudly hangs up as she sings "Happy Birthday." Pingu soon arrives with his oversized box, and as Grandfather opens it, he finds a series of progressively smaller boxes leading to the final oval box containing the shell. Puzzled by the empty boxes left behind, Grandfather decides they should return to the shell shop, and together they head back.
