Pingu (1986)

Episode Overview

While out and about, Pingu spots a poster advertising a magic show and imagines himself as the magician. On his way home, he discovers a magic wand, which helps him conjure a hat and four flowers. When Pingo appears and asks what he’s up to, Pingu eagerly explains, but to his surprise, the hat and flowers vanish. Pingo, unable to see anything, comforts Pingu as they continue walking. They arrive at the toy shop, where Pingu spots a magic box he desperately wants. He rushes home to ask Mother, who tells him he must wait until Christmas. Dejected, Pingu leaves. Realizing how far off Christmas is, Mother calls Father, asking him to pick up the magic box. When Pingu returns to the toy shop only to find it gone, he heads back home.
