Episode Overview
Charlie heads to Chicago to visit Kristen, leaving Julia in charge back home. Kristen is thrilled to see him, but Ellie is less enthusiastic. She confesses her desire to escape to San Francisco, but halfway through, she realizes she's not ready to leave and they turn back to Chicago. Ellie tells Charlie he’s her problem, prompting him to leave her behind. Meanwhile, Julia is more focused on her own life than on her siblings. Claudia pretends to be ill, and Julia only believes her when she receives a hospital call revealing Claudia had appendicitis and underwent surgery. Claudia won’t forgive Julia until she hears her express genuine regret. In another subplot, Bailey deceives Sarah to avoid sleeping with her, skipping practice instead. Sarah later discovers a drunk Bailey passed out at his place, where he lies about sleeping with Callie, but their relationship remains intact. Meanwhile, Callie grows weary of being used by Bailey.
