Episode Overview
On Christmas, Jake returns, prompting Charlie to finally clear out Kristen's belongings as he seeks to move forward. While at the restaurant, he attempts to lend a hand to a homeless man. Meanwhile, Sarah and Callie are away for the holidays, and Bailey prefers to be alone, but Coach insists he join them. Julia observes that Jake's vision seems impaired, and he reveals that he's going blind. As Jake leaves for chemotherapy, Julia invites Bailey to celebrate Christmas at the house, bringing Coach along since his daughter won't be joining him. Stuart surprises Claudia with an extravagant gift, while she struggles to find something adequate for him, but he adores her simple offering. She clarifies her feelings, leading to a brief argument, but he ultimately stays for Christmas dinner. Grace arrives, and Charlie invites her to join the festivities, bringing the group together for the holiday.
