Episode Overview
Kristen's parents show up, and Charlie erupts in anger at Claudia for alerting them. Gene keeps pointing fingers at Charlie for Kristen's situation and hints at legal action. Ellie struggles to step in, fearing it might jeopardize her marriage once more. The family decides to take Kristen back to Chicago, but Charlie attempts to intervene, while Kristen remains too shaken to make a choice. Meanwhile, Julia and Sarah head to Dartmouth for their interviews, but thoughts of home distract them, leading Julia to conclude that staying closer to home is wiser. Callie faces issues with her father, so she and Bailey toast to their newfound independence. Bailey and Julia ultimately decide to return home to support Charlie, while Claudia grapples with guilt over the events.
