In the courtroom, the jury struggles to reach a decision in Lance's trial, prompting Judge Holder to instruct them to continue deliberating. Meanwhile, Maggie becomes suspicious after spotting Richard and Holder in a private discussion and vows to uncover any collusion against Lance. Melissa worries about the consequences of her role in Lance's arrest, while her cousin Robin sees Melissa's search for a surrogate as a chance to get closer to Cole. As Cassandra and Damon manipulate Richard and Cole to strengthen their position at Falcon Crest, the foreman ultimately delivers a verdict, leading to Judge Holder sentencing Lance to seven years in prison.
