Episode Overview
Lori feels disappointed with her band’s progress, as their practice sessions have only turned into casual jam sessions without any actual songs or lyrics. She confides in Rachel that she considers herself "a recording artist" and wants to pursue that path. Serendipitously, Lori and her roommates get the chance to tour the Arista offices, where they meet the president and recording artist Usher. They also observe a recording session with a young new artist named Lennon, which thrills Lori. The next day, Lori, Mike, and Rachel continue their exploration of the offices and encounter a music supervisor named Nicky, who shares some of his projects. Lori expresses her desire to share a demo CD with him. Days later, Nicky surprises Lori by inviting her to his office.
