Upon David's return to the house, he learns that Stephen has hit Irene, which infuriates him. As tensions rise and a confrontation between David and Stephen looms, the producers and directors of The Real World step in to address the crisis. Stephen is informed that his behavior toward Irene crossed a serious line, and the group must decide whether he can continue living in the house. If they choose to keep him, he will be required to attend anger management therapy. The cast grapples with this tough choice, watching footage of the incident and expressing their shock at what they see. Ultimately, they opt to allow Stephen to stay under the condition he gets help. Later, Stephen and David have a private conversation to resolve their issues, with Stephen offering an apology for his actions.
