The individual who tasked Hajime with confronting Kenshin was none other than Toshimichi Okubo, the Head of the Home Ministry and a former revolutionary warrior from the Satsuma Domain. He urges Kenshin to travel to Kyoto to thwart the covert schemes of a man asserting himself as the rightful heir to the Hitokiri Battosai title. This man, however, was believed to have been eliminated a decade earlier by his own allies within the government due to the threat he posed. Faced with this request for an assassination, how will Kenshin respond?
