S03E19 The Driving Test
Episode Overview
Laverne and Shirley are enjoying a conversation in the Shotz brewery canteen when Lenny and Squiggy arrive. As Squiggy opens his paycheck, he finds a letter from Max Shotz, revealing that he failed his written driving test and must retake it on Saturday to keep his truck driver’s license and job. Later, Laverne and Shirley are spring cleaning their apartment—Shirley is singing “Twist Again” while Laverne dances on the floor with sponges on her feet. Lenny bursts in, distressed, pleading for their help to prepare Squiggy for his test, as he’s feeling down. The girls reluctantly agree, fearing Lenny will have to move in with them otherwise. Laverne quizzes Squiggy on the highway code, but his response is simply, “Here chicky, chicky, chicky.”
