Heartbroken from her split with Clark, Lana seeks out a rogue medical student who has been experimenting with a perilous kryptonite-infused serum that lets users flat-line and communicate with deceased loved ones. Eager to reconnect with her late parents, Lana decides to use the serum. When Clark comes back from Honduras to support her, the doctor injects him with the serum, allowing him to speak to his deceased father, who warns him that Lionel is aware of his secret. Meanwhile, Lionel is focused on getting closer to Martha, while Lex experiences a near-death vision involving his mother.
