At 23, Jason comes from a family with rigid religious beliefs, where discipline was harsh. When his mother discloses a significant secret, Jason's father is expelled from the church and forced to juggle multiple jobs to support the family. With little oversight at home, Jason falls into a world of drugs and alcohol, leading his younger sister Joy to follow suit.
